Janice Adams hails from Nebraska where she spent much of her early years living on her family farm before eventually leaving to go to college.

She lived eight miles from home and attended Normal Training classes to become a teacher, which eventually led her to Round Hill School where she taught kindergarten through sixth grade classes.

She later went on to become school principal, then eventually the Superintendent of Benicia Community Schools for several years. Her duties included developing and facilitating staff training, social-emotional, behavioral and academic support services and community partnerships to create a safe learning environment for students of all abilities.

JMA currently employs 140 full-time workers; 40 percent are former military members.
