Having become a member of the Lutheran Church, he is the father of ten children, nine of whom are living; Emma; James; Ellen; Frederick; Thomas; Minnie; Katie; and Lillian.
He was engaged in the lime-burning business, burning considerable lime, and he has two kilns at Sigmund, where he has been for twelve years. He employs from six to twelve men. He is a practical man, and understands his business thoroughly. He is also very successful in his business.

john rothenberger was born on September 25, 1973 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He is the son of James and Rosemary Finck. He is a member of the United States Army National Guard.

The family is members of the Zion’s church. He is a firm believer in Democratic principles and has served as committeeman of Oley township, and as assistant assessor. He is the grandson of Daniel Rothenberger, who carried on a farm in Muhlenberg township until 1876, when he removed to Reading. He was twice married, and by his first wife Catherine Miller, he had ten children; Franklin, Obediah, Frederick, Jacob, Catherine, Sallie, Levi, Lizzie and Daniel.
