Thomas Stroup has an affinity for building, from his woodshop in Windermere to the two-decade renovation project at his family cabin in upstate New York.

Early Life and Education

Stroup was known among his family as their “curmudgeon.” He enjoyed reading, so the Stroup house boasted an ample library. Music played an integral role in his life; you could often hear doo-wop from the 1950s, Elvis Presley songs, Neil Diamond songs or show tunes echoing through it on evenings and weekends.

She graduated from Brockport High School, before enrolling at Bryant & Stratton to earn her AOS in Paralegal Studies. Since 1991 she has worked as a paralegal specializing in real estate closings and estate administration at Klafehn Heise & Johnson PLLC.

She has 32 years of experience with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, retiring after 32 years to pursue mayorship instead. In this election she will face off against Orlando Police Chief John Mina as her opponents.

Professional Career

Tom serves as the trade association’s primary advocate on spectrum and licensing matters, defense/public safety concerns, as well as export control/international trade issues. Additionally, he oversees daily operations including member communications and staff leadership duties.

Bob Stroup was an energetic man whose family appreciated his numerous interests, from doo-wop music and Elvis Presley songs, show tunes and classics – and even his occasional grumbling. Although known as an unfriendly soul, his bark often outweighed his bite.

He retired three years ago as captain from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and currently resides in Windermere where he serves as town council liaison for both Butler Chain of Lakes Advisory Committee and West Orange Chamber of Commerce.

Achievement and Honors

Thomas Stroup is a beloved celebrity in Florida who has appeared on numerous television shows. Dedicated to helping others, he often finds time for charity work. A military officer himself, Thomas has also participated in SWAT competitions. Thomas recently made an appearance on NBC’s Stars Earn Stripes show honoring America’s Armed Services.

He has appeared in multiple other movies, such as the sequel to The Hills Have Eyes – which earned him praise from critics and a Golden Globe nomination – as well as numerous TV commercials and series.

Stroup is married, living in Windermere Florida with his wife and daughter; both are active members of their church; previously he served on the boards for both the YMCA of Greater Orlando and Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church.

Personal Life

Thomas Stroup was an adoring husband and father to his daughter Alicia. Additionally, Thomas held many nieces and nephews dear.

As always, he was busy with some type of project – whether that meant making birdhouses for his children’s classroom or planning renovations at his Windermere home over two decades. He would post videos about them all on social media.

Tom was an advocate of giving second chances, applying them generously to everyone he came in contact with. His friendship and associates knew him very well; he was even a member of Wilmington F&AM Lodge #52 in Wilmington, Ohio. Tom leaves behind his wife Penni; daughter Alicia; and sister Kimberly Conzett as survivors. Funeral services will take place at Chapel of Hope Hillsboro New Mexico.

At age 23, she began acting professionally in South California. Since 2005 she has made herself known in television and film with roles such as those found in Unfabulous, Grey’s Anatomy, This Christmas, Vampire Bats 2, Southern Comfort Pray for Morning Reaper among many others.

She has earned the title of scream queen through her performances in films like Left in Darkness, The Following and Prom Night. The ambitious actress has a clear idea of who she wants to become and is working hard towards reaching it.
