Mattracks: Maxim Track for Polaris Ranger
The Maxim Track for Polaris Ranger is a caterpillar that provides more contact area and thus more grip. 
It is being brought onto the market by the US manufacturer Mattracks, a specialist in track systems – best known for its LifeFoot line-up. In total, the company has already developed over a hundred different caterpillar models. Production of the Maxim Track for Polaris Ranger is scheduled to start in February 2015 – with a special introductory price.

Designed for UTVs, the new track doubles the contact area compared to conventional track systems – the name ‘Maxim’ also stands for maximum track width. Equipped with a so-called switch-back system, the Maxim Track for Polaris Ranger provides more traction in the snow. The extended rear track, which extends below the center of the vehicle, reduces the distance between the two tracks. This allows the vehicle to glide over the snow like a snowmobile instead of working through the snow. Glen Braizer, Mattracks Managing Director, adds, “The Maxim Track is as close to a snowmobile as you can get; moreover, there is virtually no terrain that cannot be explored with it. The profile of the track as well as its length makes turning very easy, easier than with traditional track systems.”
