We at Trendomat can only recommend oak as a material for the hall furniture. Its advantages are numerous, but it cannot always be combined aesthetically. The interior designers claim that the wood looks much better in upscale traditional settings.
As you can see in the photos, however, the oak could be used in the hallway at the entrance. In modern and minimalist design, you should rather avoid it, otherwise it will add to the elegance and traditional look.
