Today we would like to introduce you to one of the very latest desserts, namely cupcakes. These sweets are always wonderful surprises for every occasion and can be given away for Valentine’s Day. Pamper your loved one with a homemade dessert that you have lovingly prepared!
This soft dessert is one of the classics in the USA. The red and white Red Velvet Cupcakes are a popular surprise for Valentine’s Day because they are easy to prepare and taste delicious. Let’s start with our recipe for delicious Red Velvet Cupcakes.
You need the following ingredients for 20 servings:
250 grams of flour, 250 grams of sugar, 120 grams of butter, 50 grams of cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of dark cocoa, 3 eggs, 1 pinch of salt, 200 ml of buttermilk, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 1 vial of red food coloring, 2 vanilla pods, 60 grams Butter, 1 packet of cream cheese, 60 grams of powdered sugar. All ingredients should be at room temperature to avoid lumps.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Beat the sugar and softened butter with the beater until frothy. Gradually add the eggs. Add the buttermilk and one of the vanilla pods.
Mix the flour, cornstarch, salt and cocoa into the butter mixture. Gradually add any red food coloring you want. For a rich red color, you would probably need the whole vial.
Mix the apple cider vinegar with baking soda and quickly fold into the batter. Pour the mixture into molds and put them in the oven. Bake for about 15 minutes.
For the icing, stir together 60 grams of melted butter, 60 grams of powdered sugar, 1 vanilla pod and the cream cheese. Spread this mix on the cooled small cake, ideally with a knife. Decorate with strawberries or raspberries, depending on your taste.
